Explore Team Nutrition MyPlate Resources

Kindergarteners will enjoy these six Discover MyPlate: Emergent Reader Mini Books, which help build literacy skills and teach about the five food groups and MyPlate. Coming soon in Spanish!

Get ideas for a MyPlate Day from the Team Nutrition Popular Events Idea Booklet. MyPlate-themed activities help reinforce nutrition education and physical activity messages for kids.

Remind children about the five food groups by displaying a MyPlate Poster. You can also print and laminate MyPlate posters or coloring sheets to be used as placemats!

Invite children to play the MyPlate Blast-Off Game, a journey to Planet Power! Fueling a rocket ship with physical activity and foods from each food group helps players see how their choices add up and how they pay off!

Sing along to the Alive with 5 Food Groups song! Music is a fun way to teach about the food groups; what they are; and what they do. This song is part of Serving Up MyPlate: A Yummy Curriculum (Grades 1-4).
