USDA Food and Nutrition Service sent this bulletin at 08/01/2017 03:24 PM EDT
August 1-7 is World Breastfeeding Week, and the
Food and Nutrition Service’s WIC program has created a new video to promote breastfeeding in the community.
Highlights WIC and its non-traditional healthcare community
partners (such as childcare providers, faith-based organizations, small
businesses, etc.) to encourage and support mothers to breastfeed and to
increase awareness of how WIC can help programs in their efforts to support
breastfeeding mothers. WIC promotes and supports breastfeeding as the
optimal method to feed infants.
Thank you for helping us
promote this important initiative to improve the health of mothers and
babies!
