On July 29, we hosted our NITRD Subcommittee Meeting at the Pentagon where the NITRD Interagency Working Group (IWG) co-chairs presented the current and planned activities for each of their respective groups.
Dr. Forrest Shull, Principal Director for Advanced Computing and Software, gave the keynote talk, highlighting the unclassified activities of the Office of the Secretary of Defense and shared areas for potential multiagency collaboration. Thank you to everyone who participated and for the continued dedication to the success of the NITRD Program.
Additionally, a special thanks to Dr. Shull and to Dr. Robert Bonneau, Director for Software, Communications, and Networking in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering for their help coordinating the meeting at the Pentagon and for organizing a tour.
Hosting the NITRD SC meetings in person at member agency locations allows for deeper collaboration and provides an opportunity to learn more about our member agencies. Please let us know If you are interested in hosting a NITRD Subcommittee meeting at your agency headquarters.
