Dear Federal Court Interpreter:
We are sending this email to you in a continuing effort to keep information in the National Court Interpreter Database (NCID) up-to-date. In order to maintain accurate information, conduct background checks when required, make the NCID easier for courts to use and improve communication with the court interpreter community, all interpreters in the database should verify their information in the database periodically.
In 2011, we announced a new service feature to allow you to keep your contact information accurate in the NCID so that federal courts may contact you for upcoming court proceedings. The NCID is used by the federal courts to locate interpreters in specific languages and locations.
The Gateway allows you to update your contact information or view your record, through the internet, by accessing the NCID using a secure website. Once logged in, users can view their contact information, submit edits, or make corrections. Interpreters also have the option to upload a resume. Resumes must be in PDF format and should be limited to three pages. No other documents should be included. The Administrative Office of the United States Courts (AOUSC) monitors all submissions to ensure the accuracy and currency of the information in the NCID.
To enter your NCID record, please visit the NCID Gateway and follow instructions to log in. If you require assistance, please email the Court Interpreting Program Staff.
