NOTICE REGARDING THE HANDLING OF JUDGE GOLDGAR'S CASES EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 1, 2024
Before 11:59 p.m. on August 31, 2024, all of Judge Goldgar’s cases will be reassigned to “Calendar ABG” as a placeholder until the new judge is appointed. A docket entry will be created on each case notifying all parties of the reassignment.
If necessary, newly filed motions or any pending matters currently set for hearing before Judge Goldgar after September 1, 2024, will be rescheduled to the next available hearing date and time before the covering judge. Please see the Calendar ABG webpage on the court’s website for all the Zoom information for each covering judge. When the new judge is appointed, all Calendar ABG cases will be reassigned to the new judge, and a docket entry will be created on each case notifying all parties of the reassignment.
All Calendar ABG Cook County Chapter 7 and 11 cases will be heard by Judge Baer on Tuesdays. All Calendar ABG Cook County Chapter 13 cases will be heard by Judge Thorne on Wednesdays. All Calendar ABG Lake County cases will be heard by Judge Cassling on the Fridays currently listed currently on Judge Goldgar’s web page.

Cook County Chapter 7 and 11 cases and Adversary Proceedings
Cook County chapter 7 and 11 matters should be noticed for hearing before Judge Baer on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. in courtroom 615 or by Zoom for Government using Judge Baer’s meeting ID and passcode.
Cook County Chapter 13 cases and Adversary Proceedings
Cook County chapter 13 matters should be noticed for hearing before Judge Thorne on Wednesdays in courtroom 682 or by Zoom for Government using Judge Thorne’s meeting ID and passcode.
The times are:
Original Motions 11:00 a.m.
Set Matters 11:15 a.m.
Confirmations 11:30 a.m.
Lake County cases and Adversary Proceedings
Lake County chapter 7 and 13 matters should be noticed for hearing before Judge Cassling on selected Fridays in courtroom 619 or by Zoom for Government using the same Zoom meeting ID and passcode as the one currently used for Lake County matters heard by Judge Goldgar.
The times are:
Ch 13 Trustee Motions 9:15 a.m.
Ch 13 Original Motions 9:30 a.m.
Ch 13 Set Matters 10:00 a.m.
Ch 13 Adversary Matters 10:00 a.m.
Ch 13 Confirmations 10:00 a.m.
All Chapter 7 Matters 10:30 a.m.
