Attorney Training and CLE Opportunity Announced: Prisoner Civil Rights Litigation

INDIANAPOLIS (October 5, 2020) – The United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana will sponsor a training session for attorneys on prisoner civil rights litigation. The training will take place on Thursday, November 5, 2020, from 1pm to 4pm ET. The program will be held virtually.

The goal of the training program is to help attorneys navigate the field of prisoner civil rights cases, which may present issues that have not previously been confronted in private practice. The course will cover everything attorneys need to know to successfully handle these cases. The training program will be presented by attorney James P. Chapman, President of the Illinois Institute for Community Law, a not-for-profit organization that develops policies and programs that deal with prison conditions, prisoner release and recidivism.

Attendance for this event is limited to practicing attorneys in the State of Indiana. There is no cost to attend and 3 hours of Continuing Legal Education credit have been approved. Registration is required and space is limited. Please RSVP by Tuesday, November 3 to INSD_CLE@insd.uscourts.gov.
