A message from the United States Trustee, Region 21: We are fast approaching the day when Kristin Hurst will begin her “vacation with no end”, although she will stay on as a consultant to the new Chapter 13 Standing Trustee for a couple of months. Thank You, Kristin for all you have done and for your exemplary service as a chapter 13 standing trustee. I must once again comment on the positive impact you have had on the lives of so many chapter 13 debtors whose cases you administered during your 27+ years of serving as a chapter 13 trustee, not to mention the immeasurable contributions you have made to our efforts to protect and preserve the integrity of the bankruptcy system in the Middle District of Georgia. Congratulations on your exemplary career, Kristin. I am also very pleased to share that I have appointed Jonathan DeLoach as the Chapter 13 Standing Trustee for the Middle District of Georgia, effective October 1, 2020. As many of you know, Jonathan has served as the Senior Staff Attorney in the Hurst trust operation for many years and with his extensive knowledge, experience, and commitment to the important work performed by a chapter 13 trustee, we anticipate a seamless transition as of October 1st. We were very fortunate to have had some outstanding candidates who applied for the position, including Jonathan, who has a strong foundation for continuing the level of excellence this trust operation has consistently demonstrated going forward. Congratulations on your selection and appointment as of October 1st, Jonathan. I hope you will join me in extending your congratulations to both Kristin and Jonathan. Nancy Nancy J. Gargula United States Trustee, Regions 10 and 21
