On May 20, 2019, the justices granted the petition for certiorari in Ritzen Group v. Jackson Masonry, adding a bankruptcy case to their merits docket for next term. The question that the Supreme Court agreed to hear in Ritzen Group is whether an order denying a motion for relief from the automatic stay is a final order under 28 U.S.C. § 158(a)(1).
