The FDA has updated the FDA Encourages the Public to Follow Established Choking Rescue Protocols: FDA Safety Communication. The FDA continues to encourage the use of established choking rescue protocols to relieve airway obstruction in choking victims. This update provides an additional recommendation for consumers who choose to purchase or use anti-choking devices and information on how to identify anti-choking devices that have been authorized for marketing in the U.S.
