Dear oncology community,
The Oncology Center of Excellence (OCE) at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has launched Project Interface to advance engagement and outreach to cancer patients, advocacy organizations, and oncology experts.
Our mission is to protect, promote, and advance public health by organizing interactions with our domestic and global stakeholders to share critical information related to cancer awareness and treatment options. Our central theme is, “Making Cancer Personal at the FDA.”
What We Do
- Coordinate listening sessions and meetings for patient advocates and external stakeholders to engage with OCE staff about cancer-related topics, including specific subjects like pediatric cancer.
- Support the White House Faith Office’s goal to “empower faith-based entities, community organizations, and houses of worship to better serve families and communities” through cancer-related engagement.
- Facilitate panel discussions on a wide range of cancer-specific topics.
- Publish plain-language information about cancer-related topics to make this science more accessible to the public.
Request a Meeting
Patient advocacy groups, faith-based organizations, and professional organizations are welcome to contact us to request a meeting. We are particularly interested in discussions about:
- Patient and caregiver experiences.
- Strengthening collaborations with international regulators.
- Strategies to promote cancer awareness and lower cancer incidence.
