Procurement Round Table 2024 Contracting Excellence Award in Memory of Elmer B. Staats
The Procurement Round Table (PRT) and the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) are accepting nominations for the 2024 Contracting Excellence Award! The award recognizes federal acquisition professionals who have made significant contributions to contracting excellence. The winner will receive $5,000 and free admission to the 2024 NCMA World Congress conference, where the award will be presented. To be eligible, candidates must:
- have made a noteworthy contribution to contracting operations or policy within the past 12 months,
- have 5–15 years of civilian or military service in a contracting role, and
- possess a bachelor's degree or higher.
Past winners have been recognized for their innovative use of technology and leadership in acquisition support. Nominations are due on March 27, 2024, and the application can be downloaded from the PRT website. A completed application must include the candidate application form plus a letter of endorsement on letterhead signed by the applicant’s head of contracting activity. Send the application and endorsement to NCMA at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ZHFBKWT.
The PRT is a nonprofit organization established in 1984 to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the federal acquisition system.
Leadership Excellence for Acquisition Professionals: Accepting Applications Now!
The Leadership Excellence for Acquisition Professionals Program prepares GS-12 to GS-14 federal employees in acquisitions to become better leaders by focusing on the four core tenets of the Partnership's Public Service Leadership Model. It is now accepting applications until Feb. 23, 2024. The program begins in April and ends in August 2024.

Regular FAI CSOD User? Make Your Access Easier with SMS Authentication
SMS authentication is a great option. You can easily access your FAI CSOD account if your email address changes, or quickly reset your password if you forget it. It gives you convenient access to your verification code via phone. Follow the steps below to configure SMS authentication:
- Visit and login to https://id.dau.edu/.
- Open the drop-down menu below your name in the upper right-hand corner and click Settings.
- Scroll down and view the box that says, Extra Verification.
- Click Set Up next to SMS Authentication and follow the instructions provided.

Public Meeting on Combating Human Trafficking in Government Contracts
Join the U.S. government’s Senior Policy Operating Group’s Procurement & Supply Chains Committee at 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. E.T. on Thursday, Jan. 18, for an online public meeting aimed at building an understanding of the anti-trafficking requirements of the Federal Acquisition Regulation.
