Are You Aware of the Continuous Learning Period?
Calling all certification holders! You’re required to meet your continuous learning (CL) requirements by April 30, 2024. That’s 195 days away! Check your continuous learning individual progress (CLIP) dashboard in FAI CSOD to monitor your progress. Falling behind? No need to worry. Make a plan with your supervisor to meet your requirements and find and register for courses to obtain CLPs on FAI.gov. CL activities remain an essential component of lifelong learning for all acquisition workforce professionals!

Did You Forget Your FAI CSOD Password? Don't Worry! Resetting it is Easy!
There are two easy ways to reset your FAI CSOD password via the self-help options outlined below.
Start by opening a new browser and visiting https://id.dau.edu/. Once at the login screen, click the link at the bottom that says, “Need Help Signing In?” and select “Forgot Password?”
Option 1: Reset via SMS
- Enter your email or username associated with your account and select Reset via SMS to receive a code via text message to the number you provided. (Your text message can take up to 15 minutes to arrive.)
- Enter your verification code and click Verify.
- You will be asked for the answer to the security question you selected when setting up your account. Provide the answer and select Reset Password.
- Enter a new password on the next screen.
- Visit: https://dau.csod.com/ (a new link) and login to FAI CSOD with your username and new password.
Option 2: Reset via Email
- Enter your email or username associated with your account and select Reset via Email to receive password reset instructions.
- Check your email and click the green Reset Password button in the email you receive from DAU. (If you do not receive an email within 15 minutes, please check your spam folder or contact the DAU help desk.)
- You will be asked for the answer to the security question you selected when setting up your account. Provide the answer and select Reset Password.
- Enter a new password on the next screen.
- Visit: https://dau.csod.com/ (a new link) and login to FAI CSOD with your username and new password.

The Made In America Office is Looking for Detailees
Are you ready to take on a challenge that will test your skills and allow you to influence policy, meet high-level officials, and help our nation boost domestic manufacturing? Consider joining the Made in America Office procurement team. The Made in America Office needs procurement analysts and contracting officers/specialists to review procurement waiver requests. You will make critical decisions, assist agencies, and shape policy in addition to waiver review. This detail can be part-time or full-time and lasts six months with a six-month extension. Remote options exist. You must be in the 1102 (acquisition) classification series to qualify. Read more details here.

New Procurement Vehicle for Program Evaluation Service Webinar: Oct. 25
This one-hour Zoom webinar will explain how federal agencies can use the new program evaluation services subgroup on GSA’s Multiple Award Schedule to award evaluation contracts to qualified vendors. This event is open to federal contracting staff (COs and CORs) and federal program evaluation staff. All attendees will earn one CLP for their participation (note: an active account in FAI CSOD is required to document the CLP).

Upcoming Changes to OPM Job Series Identifiers in FAI CSOD
At this time, FAI is working with the Defense Acquisition University to change how job OPM series data is input and tracked within FAI CSOD. When this change has been implemented, FAI will follow up with the acquisition workforce and ask for help to review and update your job series. Your help will be appreciated, as it will help FAI and its partners interpret and analyze job series data to promote acquisition workforce excellence!

New Acquisition Innovation Posted!
The Rates Only for Pricing Evaluations (ROPE) technique is added to the Periodic Table of Acquisition Innovations! Try this new technique to alleviate the burden on vendors submitting complex pricing submissions and on contracting officers when evaluating these submissions as part of establishing an indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity contract or blanket purchase agreement.

Federal Acquisition Circular 2023-006 was published in the Federal Register on Oct. 5, 2023 and included: 1) FAR Case 2020-011, Implementation of Federal Acquisition Supply Chain Security Act Orders, Interim Rule, Effective: Dec. 4, 2023; 2) FAR Case 2017-005, Whistleblower Protection for Contractor Employees, Final Rule, Effective: Nov. 6, 2023 and 3) FAR Case 2021-012, 8(a) Program, Final Rule, Effective Nov. 6, 2023.
