I wanted to share 2 great opportunities to engage around the Diamond Alkali Superfund site and clean-up of the Lower Passaic River.
Passaic River Community Advisory Group meeting
Join the next Passaic River Community Advisory Group meeting on Monday, March 30th from 6 to 8pm at the Ironbound Community Corporation at 1 New York Avenue, Newark, NJ 07105. The meeting will be focused on potential Passaic River restoration projects and a new portal accepting ideas, which has been launched by the Federal Natural Resource Trustees for the Diamond Alkali Superfund Site, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the U.S. Department of the Interior.

EPA Community Meeting
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is hosting a community meeting at 7 Wilson Avenue in Newark, NJ on Tuesday, April 21st from 6:00 to 8:00 pm to discuss the status of the cleanup of the Lower Passaic River, which is part of the Diamond Alkali Superfund site. This meeting will include a presentation and poster session about the Superfund process and upcoming plans for the EPA’s cleanup approach for the Lower Passaic River.
