Bus Grants - Federal Transit Administration

Low or No Emission Grant Program funds will be awarded for the purchase or lease of buses that use low- or no-emission propulsion technologies, including related equipment or facilities. Grants for Buses and Bus Facilities Competitive Program funds will be awarded to purchase, rehabilitate, or lease buses and related equipment, and to construct, purchase, rehabilitate, or lease bus-related facilities.

New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) funds implementation projects to improve water quality or habitat, promote flood risk reduction, restoration, and enhanced flood and climate resiliency, or protect a drinking water source.
Non-Agricultural Nonpoint Source Planning and MS4 Mapping Grant (NPG)
Funds production of planning reports for nonpoint source water quality improvement projects and mapping of municipal separate storm sewer systems (MS4).
NY Climate Smart Communities Grant Program
Application deadline: July 31, 2025

NY Community Impact Grants
Application deadline: August 13, 2025
$5.9 million is available for community-based organizations for projects that address exposure of communities to multiple environmental harms and risks. Projects must address a community's exposure to multiple environmental harms and risks and include a new research component that will be used to expand the knowledge of the affected community.
NY Green Resiliency Grants
Application deadline: August 15, 2025 Funds for flood-prone communities to support stormwater management and resilient infrastructure projects that improve water quality and combat the effects of extreme weather.
NY Municipal Waste Reduction and Recycling Program
Application acceptance period is Aug-Oct of each year Provides State assistance for Recycling Coordinator salaries and for public education programs conducted by municipalities. This funding helps expand local recycling programs and increase participation.
Fleet Electrification Assistance - New Jersey Fleet Advisor
New Jersey Fleet Advisor is offering free technical assistance to 15 fleets interested in learning how to transition to zero-emission vehicles. Participating fleets will receive a personalized Fleet Electrification Roadmap document that reviews vehicle recommendations, cost projections, on-site electric infrastructure assessments, and other key information to support the transition to zero-emission alternatives.
Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (WIFIA) - EPA
The WIFIA program offers long-term loans that can be combined with State Revolving Fund assistance, municipal bonds, and federal and state grants to help communities deliver more critical water infrastructure projects for a lower cost with less impact on rate payers.
