This year, EPA is pleased to honor the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services’ Montana Asthma Control Program as our award winner and feature their asthma management program during the webinar.
For more than 18 years, Montana’s program has addressed asthma management and the indoor environmental determinants of health through an extensive network of partners and a robust home-visit program. The Montana Asthma Control Program conducts asthma interventions through a comprehensive and coordinated approach to increase efficiency while maximizing limited resources to achieve improved asthma health outcomes.
The Montana Asthma Control Program’s dedicated work has improved health outcomes for Montanans and resulted in overall cost savings among high health care utilizers, including through reductions in urgent care and emergency department visits.
