Going Smoke- and Vape-Free in Multiunit Housing!
Tuesday, November 19, 2024
2–3 p.m. EST
EPA is hosting a webinar on exposures to secondhand tobacco smoke and vaping aerosols in multiunit housing. This webinar is for general audiences, particularly people who live in multiunit housing, property owners, managers and leasing agents of multiunit housing, and anyone who is interested in smokefree multiunit housing.
Webinar participants will learn—
- Why smoke- and vape-free multiunit housing is important.
- How smoke- and vape-free policies can eliminate or reduce secondhand tobacco smoke and aerosol exposures in and near multiunit buildings.
- Tips and resources to implement smoke- and vape-free policies in multiunit housing.
November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month. There is no safe level of secondhand tobacco smoke exposure. Secondhand tobacco smoke causes about 7,000 lung cancer deaths a year among non-smokers. The only way to eliminate secondhand exposure is to prohibit smoking indoors. Join our webinar to learn more about secondhand tobacco smoke in multiunit housing.
