The President’s Task Force on Environmental Health Risks and Safety Risks to Children (Task Force) is publishing their priority activities for the next 5 years.
This comprehensive roadmap outlines key initiatives aimed at safeguarding children’s health amidst the latest challenges.
The 2024-2028 Priority Activities document dives into four priority areas:
- Lead Exposures,
- Climate Change, Emergencies, and Disasters,
- Chemical Exposures, and
- Asthma Disparities.
Each section details short- and long-term actions addressing data gaps; regulations and policies; communication and engagement; and interagency coordination.
The Task Force is the focal point for the federal government to scope, plan, and act together for the betterment of children’s environmental health and safety. The Task Force engages a multitude of government departments, agencies, and other federal partners who have expressed interest in participating, to coordinate federal efforts to address the array of environmental and social stressors that threaten the health of children.
