Celebrate National Public Health Week

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Indoor Environments Division (IED) supports the American Public Health Association’s (APHA) National Public Health Week campaign during April 1–7, 2019. Each weekday, the campaign recognizes an issue that highlights a health condition or risk.

Start the week with Monday’s theme of “Healthy Communities.” Healthy communities begin with healthy homes, and indoor air quality is an important component of any healthy home. Learn from EPA about how to protect your health from indoor air pollutants.

On Friday, end the week with indoor air quality and climate change. Protect building occupants by maintaining a healthy and safe indoor environment. Energy efficiency and sustainability are key considerations. Changes in outdoor conditions can also influence the indoor environment.

Do you want more local information about indoor air quality? Contact your state radon program or EPA Regional Office.

Join the campaign and become a part of the movement to create a healthier nation.
