On Monday, in Commerce City, Colorado, Administrator Zeldin launched EPA’s new agency-wide PFAS TECH strategy. Through this important initiative, we will accelerate research and development of PFAS treatment and destruction technologies, expand partnerships, and ramp up deployment of innovative solutions.
Later that day, in Colorado Springs, Administrator Zeldin visited the Highway 24 Mill Cleanup Site where EPA and Colorado have been very rapidly removing and replacing soil that had contained higher levels of arsenic and lead for decades. This is cooperative federalism in action! It was also a perfect example of how EPA’s new Superfund Solutions initiative can get sites cleaned up faster and more efficiently than ever before.
