New Director Announced for Long Island Sound Partnership
The Long Island Sound Partnership has been a massive success to improve water quality and restore critical habitats. Last week, Administrator Zeldin, alongside both Region 1 Administrator Mark Sanborn and Region 2 Administrator Mick Martucci, were excited to announce Nikki Tachiki as the new Director of the Long Island Sound Partnership. They are confident she is going to do an exceptional job in her new post.
Administrator Zeldin’s announcement in Port Jefferson, NY, was part of an EPA swing across Long Island last week which also included an Energy Affordability Roundtable in Elmont, a tour of the Port Washington Water District in Roslyn, and a roundtable with farmers advancing MAHA priorities in Riverhead.

This week, Administrator Zeldin visited Las Vegas, Nevada, where he participated in a roundtable discussing how EPA is helping deliver affordable energy to American families and businesses. Later, he delivered remarks at the Republican Jewish Coalition National Leadership Summit and shared how the EPA has been working hard to Power the Great American Comeback.
