In this week’s update, President Trump and Administrator Zeldin announce the single largest act of deregulation in U.S. history.
EPA is Saving American Taxpayers Over $1.3 Trillion
On Thursday, in the single largest deregulatory action in U.S. history, President Trump and Administrator Zeldin announced the repeal of the 2009 Obama EPA Endangerment Finding, ALL vehicle greenhouse gas emission standards that followed, and ALL off-cycle credits that include the much-despised start-stop feature in vehicles. This action will save over $1.3 TRILLION in costs for Americans.

Final Action to Repeal Endangerment Finding Follows Best Reading of Clean Air Act and Recent Supreme Court Decisions
EPA’s historic action on Thursday to repeal the 2009 Obama EPA Endangerment Finding included substantial public input and robust analysis of the law following recent U.S. Supreme Court decisions in Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo (overturning the Chevron Doctrine), West Virginia v. EPA (advancing the Major Policy Doctrine), and more. Administrator Zeldin will continue following the best reading of the law, and if Congress decided one-day to amend the Clean Air Act, then we will follow whatever that change may be.
After Thursday’s big announcement at the White House, Administrator Zeldin spoke with Weijia Jiang with CBS News for nearly 20 minutes in a wide-ranging interview discussing the announcement. Watch the full interview.
