The Trump Administration Announces Important Progress to Permanently and Urgently End the Tijuana River Sewage Crisis
On Monday, the U.S. and Mexico signed an agreement marking additional significant progress towards urgently and permanently ending the Tijuana River Sewage Crisis. This agreement, called Minute 333, outlines many new Mexico-side infrastructure projects, research, enhanced monitoring, and planning for operation and maintenance of critical sites that will account for future population growth in Tijuana. EPA will now work with our Mexican counterparts to ensure agreed-upon items are implemented as quickly as humanly possible, building on the good, cooperative work these past few months that has been taking place through high-level dialogue and coordination to get us to this point.
Minute 333 does NOT obligate ANY new U.S. taxpayer funding. Every project completed in this Minute over the course of 2026 and 2027 (as well as one project scheduled for 2028 completion), along with other items previously agreed upon in the July Memorandum of Understanding that Administrator Zeldin signed in Mexico City, is expected to end this human health crisis for good. The Trump Administration is working diligently to end the foul odors, reopen the beaches, and reverse the degradation of the Tijuana River Valley that many have unfortunately grown accustomed to over decades.

Administrator Zeldin Continues to Advance Exceptional Stewardship of American Taxpayer Dollars
New from Thomas Catenacci on the Stacey Abrams-linked NGO, Power Forward Communities, that made $100 in total revenue in 2023 and then got a $2 BILLION grant from the Biden EPA:
Of the money Power Forward Communities received from the Biden EPA by the end of last year, “more than half went to Abrams's Rewiring America. Power Forward Communities reported that the grant funding was its sole source of revenue last year, indicating that it acted as a pass-through established to distribute taxpayer funds primarily to Rewiring America but under a different name. It disbursed the funding to Rewiring America as Abrams served as its senior counsel and senior adviser, a role she held between March 2023 and early 2025."
Administrator Zeldin proudly cancelled this grant in March, citing the rampant self-dealing, conflicts of interest, unqualified recipients, and reduced government oversight. The Trump EPA refuses to light taxpayer dollars on fire.
