Welcome to the Environmental Protection Agency’s “Call it a Comeback” Newsletter! It is important to Administrator Lee Zeldin and our entire leadership team to remain transparent with the public and ensure you are staying up to date with all the amazing work our agency is doing.
In this week’s update: (1) Administrator Zeldin marks one month serving at EPA, (2) EPA completes its largest wildfire cleanup in agency history, and (3) thousands of EPA staff return to the office!
Marking One Month of Service at EPA
It was a very active first month for Administrator Zeldin, and we are just getting started! It’s exciting to see how much important work EPA is in the middle of right now to deliver clean air, land, and water, and Powering the Great American Comeback. Check out this new video highlighting our efforts.
EPA Completes Largest Wildfire Cleanup in Agency History in Los Angeles
President Trump gave EPA 30 days in Los Angeles to complete Phase 1 hazardous material removal in the agency's largest wildfire cleanup in history. We got it done! Thank you to our dedicated staff who have worked incredibly hard to get Californians back on their feet.
Thousands of EPA Staff Return to the Office
Thousands of EPA staff returned to the office this week. COVID-era remote work is done under President Trump’s leadership. On Mondays and Fridays all of last year, our headquarters only had 8.9% daily attendance. It’s time for our talented staff to return to work in the office full-time to collaborate, produce, and make the American public proud.
