|
The U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Technologies Office (AMMTO) is seeking qualified reviewers for competitive, meritorious, projects to fund for its Critical Minerals and Materials Accelerator Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO). The funding opportunity will make available up to $69 million for technologies or processes that advance the domestic production and refining of critical materials, issued jointly by DOE’s Office of Critical Minerals and Energy Innovation (CMEI) and Hydrocarbons and Geothermal Energy Office (HGEO).
Suitable reviewers must have expertise on any of the following topics:
- Critical materials recovery methods (hydrometallurgical, pyrometallurgical, electrochemical, mechanical, bio-based, and more.)
- Semiconductor refining and alloying (production of powders, boules, ingots, or single crystals for high-purity gallium, germanium, gallium-nitride, and silicon-carbide.)
- Direct lithium extraction, separation, and processing (expertise in adsorption, ion-exchange, membrane, electrochemical, magnetic, electrodialysis, etc.)
If you are interested and willing to review proposals, please send your resume or CV to ReviewforAMMTO@doe.gov by May 22, 2026, at 5 p.m. ET.
