New Funding for DOE's Industrial Technology Validation Program |

The U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Industrial Technology Validation (ITV) program is offering awards of up to $400,000 to support real-world testing and validation of emerging technologies. The ITV program pairs industrial sites with technology developers to evaluate novel industrial technologies designed to reduce energy and water use, cut costs, increase reliability, and improve competitiveness. Participating in the ITV program is a valuable opportunity for industrial sites and technology developers to mitigate many of the risks associated with installing and implementing an emerging technology. |

Program Details
- Technology developers provide the equipment or technology to be validated.
- Host sites provide the facility where the installation will occur, manage the installation, and provide performance data from both the existing baseline system and the newly installed technology.
- Host sites and technology developers seeking project partners can provide their contact information on a public teaming partner list, accessible here.
- Awardees work with Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, who analyzes the data and produces a publicly available measurement and verification (M&V) report summarizing the technology’s performance.
- This opportunity opened for applications on Sept. 16, 2025, and applications will be accepted until Jan. 29, 2026.

Available Funding
Awards of up to $400,000 are available through this opportunity, split between technology developer/host site teams that are accepted into the program. Award funding will be provided to both parties, with a pre-determined portion going to the host site and the technology developer. Selected teams will be required to provide a 50% cost share for a portion of the project.
