DOE Leaders Recognized on TIME’s 100 Most Influential People in Climate List
The Office of Technology Transitions (OTT) team is thrilled to announce that TIME has named Dr. Vanessa Chan, OTT Director and DOE Chief Commercialization Officer, among the 100 Most Influential People in Climate for her innovative work bringing clean energy technologies to market. Recognized in the "Leaders" category, Dr. Chan’s efforts to chart pathways for decarbonizing key industries—from hydrogen to sustainable chemicals—are already shaping significant government and industry investments. This recognition speaks to her vision and the dedication of OTT’s team to turn climate innovations into transformative solutions.
Today’s announcement also honors Secretary Jennifer Granholm as a “Titan” for her leadership in expanding U.S. clean energy capacity and modernizing our infrastructure for resilient, equitable communities. Under Secretary Granholm, the DOE has added 60 GW of clean energy capacity this year alone, advancing the nation’s climate goals.
This recognition underscores the commitment of both Dr. Chan and Secretary Granholm in leading our transition to a sustainable, secure energy future. Please join us in celebrating their achievements!
