The U.S. Department of Energy and the Joint Office of Energy and Transportation (Joint Office) have launched a new funding program to provide faster, more efficient management of renewable energy and electric vehicle interconnection and energization queues, supporting the Biden-Harris Administration’s goal of a 100% carbon-free electricity sector by 2035 and a decarbonized energy system by 2050.

The Public EV Charging Playbook provides interactive resources to help communities plan and build the infrastructure needed to support a zero-emission transportation system. Four new modules were recently added that focus on policies and incentives; regulations for zoning, permitting, and codes; and revenue and fee structures.

This report provides the EV charging industry with two sets of clearly defined customer-focused key performance indicators that measure key aspects of the charging experience.
