DOE Hosts Innovative Community Engagement Event on Clean Hydrogen at Boston Museum of Science
The DOE Office of Energy Justice and Equity (EJE), in collaboration with the Boston Museum of Science, the DOE Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies Office (HFTO), and a team of Presidential Management Fellows, has developed an innovative forum for engaging with communities about clean hydrogen technologies and community benefits plans. The forum was developed with input from environmental justice organizations, communities along the Gulf Coast, and Boston-area residents, along with expert reviews from DOE offices.
The forums debuted publicly at the Museum of Science in April 2024, and the event, "Harnessing Hydrogen for a Just Transition," drew nearly 100 participants with diverse backgrounds and a wide range of ages. Read a blog post from EJE to discover more about the event and the Harnessing Hydrogen forum.
