EERE’s Solar Energy Technologies Office (SETO) has announced the American-Made Solar Prize Round 8, including the Ready!, Set!, and Go! Contest levels. This multimillion-dollar prize program encourages innovations in the nation’s solar hardware and software technologies, challenging applicants to address roadblocks in solar energy advancements. The 10th Annual Technology Baseline (ATB) for the electricity sector now features new and improved data for offshore wind energy, pumped storage hydropower, natural gas, nuclear energy technologies, geothermal energy, and more! Funded by EERE in collaboration with other DOE offices, the ATB is the gold standard of energy analyses and has been a valuable resource for utilities, researchers, government agencies, and other stakeholders for almost a decade. In partnership with the U.S. Economic Development Administration, EERE’s Water Power Technologies Office (WPTO) is offering up to $4.8 million to fund blue economy incubator and accelerator technologies.
