May H2IQ Hour Webinar: Megawatt-Scale Tri-Gen System Produces Clean Hydrogen, Electricity, and Water at the Port of Long Beach

Join our monthly H2IQ Hour webinar on May 30, 2024, at 12 p.m. ET for an overview of a first-of-its-kind triple generation (tri-gen) system unveiled in 2023 at Toyota Motor North America's Port of Long Beach facility. This session will be led by Mark Yamauchi, sustainability manager for Toyota Motor North America, and Tony Leo, chief technology officer for FuelCell Energy.

The tri-gen system produces renewable electricity, clean hydrogen, and water from directed biogas. The system is a result of industry collaboration between multiple partners, including FuelCell Energy and Toyota Motor North America, to help scale hydrogen-powered fuel cell technology—a key tool in the energy toolkit to help reduce carbon emissions. The development and progress of tri-gen technology is built on learnings gained nearly a decade ago through a HFTO-funded demonstration of the world’s first tri-gen station in Fountain Valley, California.

The H2IQ Hour will include a 45-minute live presentation followed by 15 minutes of Q&A. A recording of the H2IQ Hour will be available on HFTO's website after the event.
