Biden-Harris Administration Invests $54 Million To Expand Clean Transportation Across American Communities
The Biden-Harris administration announced a $54 million Communities Taking Charge Accelerator funding opportunity through President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to enhance electric mobility in communities without access to home charging infrastructure and to transition all types of fleets to EVs. It also focuses on developing managed charging solutions to optimize grid efficiency and integrate renewable energy to promote sustainability, economic growth, and community health.

DOE and Joint Office Seek Feedback on $6.5 Million Program To Pilot Interconnection and Energization Queue Management Solutions
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Innovation Interconnection e-Xchange and Joint Office just announced their intent to fund the Innovative Queue Management Solutions for Clean Energy Interconnection and Energization program, which will award $6.5 million to distribution utilities to pilot innovative solutions for managing renewable energy interconnection and EV charging equipment energization queues. DOE is seeking feedback from distribution utilities on the proposed program structure through a set of market research questions by May 2 at 5 p.m. EDT. A request for proposals for the program is expected to open in the coming weeks. Join the renewable energy funding email list to be notified when this funding is released.
