On May 14–15, 2024, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) will host an in-person workshop in the Washington, D.C., area to solicit input from stakeholders across the industrial sector to inform a new DOE analysis, Transforming Industry: Strategies for Decarbonization.
These strategies will build upon the 2022 Industrial Decarbonization Roadmap, the Pathway to Commercial Liftoff: Industrial Decarbonization Report, and other DOE analyses to present the critical technologies we’ll need to pursue, in parallel, to decarbonize the industrial sector. This effort will consider the technical, economic, workforce, and supply chain challenges associated with the scale and pace of an industrial transformation, and present informed strategies for overcoming these barriers.
DOE will present the framing, approach, and initial results and provide stakeholders across industry, academia, and government with an opportunity to provide feedback and help shape the strategies.
When: May 14–15, 2024
Where: Hyatt Regency Crystal City at Reagan National Airport, Arlington, Virginia, near Washington, D.C.
Space is limited; registration will be first-come, first-served.
DOE will also make available additional opportunities for stakeholders to share input and help shape DOE’s industrial strategies in the coming months.
