Join AMMTO for Upcoming Power Electronics Roadmap Listening Sessions

We are excited to invite you to three upcoming Power Electronics Roadmap Listening Sessions hosted by the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Technologies Office (AMMTO). These sessions are part of our efforts to draft a roadmap that will better identify performance, lifetime, and cost metrics for future power electronics systems in the next 10 to 12 years. Additionally, the roadmap will provide an assessment of the potential impact that innovations in power electronics can have on our clean energy economy.

The schedule for the listening sessions is as follows:

  • April 23, 2024, at 2 p.m. ET. - Manufacturing Scale Up Challenges for Power ElectronicsREGISTER

  • May 9, 2024, at 2 p.m. ET. - Education and Workforce Development for Power ElectronicsREGISTER

  • May 29, 2024, at 2 p.m. ET. - TEA/LCA Assessment for Power Electronics – REGISTER

Power electronics research is unique in its pathways for innovation to reach industry. Many applications for power electronics have size, weight, temperature, and performance requirements that have huge impacts on the materials and designs of the underlying components and systems that serve them. At AMMTO, we recognize that innovations at the material, component, and circuit levels are essential for advancements at the application level. Conversely, the needs at the application level drive the necessary parameters at lower hierarchical levels.

Whether you are an industry professional, researcher, or student, these webinars are a great opportunity to engage with experts in the field and share your knowledge and perspective with us to help lay out a possible future for the power electronics industry in the United States. We look forward to your participation! If you have any questions, please send an email to AMMTOPowerElectronics@hq.doe.gov.
