Department of Energy’s Make It Prize Is Now Open for Submission!
“Deploying novel and emerging clean energy technologies will be essential to achieving DOE’s clean energy and climate goals,” said DOE Chief Commercialization Officer and Director of the Office of Technology Transitions Dr. Vanessa Z. Chan. “The two MAKE IT Prize tracks will award innovators that bolster the energy manufacturing and supply chains needed catalyze the energy transition.”

The Facilities Track will award teams that demonstrate the ability to be shovel-ready to build a clean energy manufacturing facility on the fastest timeline and with the most effective approach. The eligible components for the Facilities Track are critical components for production, processing, delivery, and storage, of clean hydrogen and/or hydrogen fuel cells; components related to electric grid upgrades and long duration energy storage; and carbon capture solvent, sorbent, and membrane recovery technologies.

The Strategies Track will award teams who most effectively develop strategies to enable vibrant manufacturing activity in their communities.
