Funding Opportunities and Prizes

Apply for Funding to Advance Workforce Equity

There is $10 million in funding available for projects that identify common challenges and opportunities to facilitate the rapid deployment of solar energy technologies while supporting an inclusive workforce. Letters of intent for the Advancing Equity Through Workforce Partnerships funding opportunity are due September 13 at 5 p.m. ET.

Deadline Extended for the Grid Services Funding Opportunity

Concept papers for the Solar and Wind Grid Services and Reliability Demonstration funding opportunity are now due September 15 at 5 p.m. ET. $26 million in funding is available for projects that demonstrate the reliable operation of a decarbonized electrical grid.

Take Your Solar Innovation to the Next Level

The Solar Manufacturing Incubator funding opportunity offers $27 million in funding to increase U.S. manufacturing across the solar industry supply chain. Free education services are available for applicants through the American-Made Network. Diverse entrepreneurs, small businesses, and larger for-profit entities are encouraged to submit their letters of intent by September 16 at 5 p.m. ET.

Compete in the American-Made Solar Prize Round 6

U.S.-based entrepreneurs are invited to submit ideas for innovative hardware and software solar technologies for a chance to win cash prizes and technical assistance. Sign up to compete by October 6 at 5 p.m. ET.

The Sunny Awards for Equitable Community Solar (The Sunny Awards) offers up to $100,000 in prizes to recognize community solar projects and programs that increase equitable access to the meaningful benefits of community solar for subscribers and their communities. Applications are due by October 7 at 5 p.m. ET.
