DOE Seeks Applications, Bids for $6 Billion Civil Nuclear Credit Program

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is seeking applications and sealed bid submissions under the $6 billion Civil Nuclear Credit Program to support the continued operation of U.S. nuclear reactors. This critical investment, made possible by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, will help avoid premature retirements of nuclear reactors across the country due to financial hardship and preserve thousands of good-paying clean energy jobs. DOE Seeks Nuclear Energy Partners to Connect with Communities

X-energy's TRISO-X Fuel Fabrication Facility to Produce Fuel for Advanced Nuclear Reactors

The TRISO-X, LLC Fuel Fabrication Facility (TF3) will be the nation’s first High-Assay, Low-Enriched Uranium (HALEU) fuel fabrication facility. TRISO-X is a wholly owned subsidiary of advanced reactor designer X-energy, LLC. TF3 will use uranium enriched between 5% and 20% to produce fuel for advanced and small modular reactors of the future as well as manufacture TRi-structural ISOtropic (TRISO) fuel. DOE Awards $5 Million to Future Nuclear Scientists and Engineers

DOE announced more than $5 million in scholarships and fellowships for students across the country pursuing degrees in nuclear energy and engineering. The awards are provided through the University Nuclear Leadership Program (UNLP) and include 61 undergraduate scholarships and 28 graduate fellowships for students at 32 colleges and universities in 23 states. INL Transfers Falcon Supercomputer to Idaho Universities

Idaho National Laboratory (INL) is transferring management of the Falcon supercomputer, currently managed under DOE’s Nuclear Science User Facilities program, to Boise State University, Idaho State University, and University of Idaho.
