Energy Analyst (Physical Scientist/General Engineer)

The Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) is looking to hire an Energy Analyst (Title GS-13 Physical Scientist/General Engineer) in the Office of the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary, Strategic Analysis Team.

EERE’s Strategic Analysis Team conducts high-profile, crosscutting analysis to further EERE’s mission, with a particular focus on informing EERE’s work to achieve an equitable transition to a net-zero greenhouse gas emissions economy no later than 2050. Join our team as a clean energy champion.

Salary:  $106,823 – $138,868 per year

Pay scale & grade: GS 13

As an Energy Analyst you will:

  • Manage EERE-funded analysis projects conducted by national laboratory staff and/or contractors and, in some cases, serve as a co-author on reports and papers.
  • Participate in and help coordinate cross-office working groups that shape EERE analysis priorities, including decarbonization and environmental justice and equity.
  • Develop written materials to communicate outcomes of Strategic Analysis–funded analysis to DOE and external stakeholders.
