 Webinar on Carbon Utilization Funding Opportunity
The U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE’s) Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Bioenergy Technologies Office (BETO) as well as the Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management Carbon Utilization Program recently announced $19 million in funding for the advancement of technologies that utilize waste carbon. The funding opportunity announcement, titled “Carbon Utilization Technology: Improving Efficient Systems for Algae,” specifically aims to increase the capability of algal systems to capture carbon dioxide and put it to productive use.
An informational webinar will be held on February 17, 2022, at 3 p.m. ET, where participants can hear about the objectives and requirements of this funding opportunity. DOE staff will give a presentation on the topic areas and application process and participants will be able to submit written questions that may be answered, time permitting. No registration is required. The webinar will be recorded and the recording will be available online shortly afterwards. All questions and answers will be posted after the webinar in EERE Exchange.
