Idaho National Laboratory Is Changing the Garbage Game

Is Garbage Changing the Game

Idaho National Laboratory is working to unlock a cleaner, more renewable energy future with municipal solid waste

As our global need for sustainable fuel grows, Idaho National Laboratory (INL) recognizes bioenergy is one resource that holds the key to unlocking a cleaner future using renewable energy. Funded by the U.S. Department of Energy Bioenergy Technologies Office, INL researchers are leading new studies to decontaminate municipal solid waste (MSW), such as paper, plastic, food, and clothing waste, to create biofuels.
