Join the National Hydropower Association (NHA) on September 22nd, at 2:00 p.m. E.T. for a Path to Clean Energy Virtual Event, “Recognizing Pumped Storage Hydropower on World Energy Storage Day,” featuring a discussion with Jennifer Garson, Acting Director of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Water Power Technologies Office (WPTO).

World Energy Storage Day is an opportunity to shine a spotlight on pumped storage—America’s largest source of grid-scale energy storage. Pumped storage is vital to meeting the Biden Administration’s 100% zero carbon grid by 2035 goal.

WPTO invests in innovative pumped storage technologies and research to understand and determine the potential benefits of existing and prospective advanced pumped storage facilities. Through the HydroWIRES Initiative, WPTO enables projects designed to evaluate and expand hydropower and pumped storage’s contribution to grid resilience and reliability.

Register to attend and learn more about pumped storage’s important role in America’s clean energy future.
