EV Champion Training—Everything you need to know about planning for fleet electrification

EV Champion Training is a virtual training series hosted by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) and designed to provide fleet managers and coordinators with the skills and knowledge to become subject matter experts in electric vehicle (EV) implementation. This four-part training serves as an introduction to EV technology and electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) installation considerations.

The final webinar in the EV Champion Training series focuses on advanced considerations for EV site assessments, optimally operating a fleet of EVs, and managing workplace charging:

Learning objectives

Upon completion of EV Champion Training 4: Advanced Fleet Electrification, attendees will be able to:

  • Select the best EVs for their fleet
  • Plan for the installation of EVSE that will serve the needs of these new vehicles
  • Understand how to perform advanced EV site assessments, including considering managed charging solutions, integrating EVSE with facility energy loads, and doing cost-benefit analysis
  • Optimally operate an EV fleet, including identifying EV candidates with telematics and other tools and planning for the long term
  • Manage a workplace charging program, including surveying the workforce and assessing fees to employees.
