You are invited to join U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Secretary Jennifer Granholm on Thursday, March 25, at 2:30 p.m. ET, for a webinar and virtual solar technology tour, where she will discuss DOE’s efforts to reduce the costs of photovoltaic and concentrating solar-thermal power (CSP) technologies in order to decarbonize the electricity sector.
Secretary Granholm will be joined by Acting Assistant Secretary of the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Kelly Speakes-Backman, DOE Solar Energy Technologies Office Director Dr. Becca Jones-Albertus, research scientists from two DOE National Laboratories, and Energy Materials Corporation (EMC) CEO Stephan DeLuca.
The webinar will include a tour of the former Kodak facility in Rochester, NY, where DOE awardee EMC is working on developing and fabricating perovskite solar cells; Arizona State University’s Solar Power Laboratory's silicon pilot line production facility; and the National Solar Thermal Test Facility at Sandia National Laboratories, a state-of-the art center for CSP research.
Register for the webinar. We look forward to seeing you.
