Daniel R Simmons, the U.S. Department of Energy’s Assistant Secretary for the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, will deliver remarks on day two of the upcoming Bioeconomy Initiative Forum. Hosted by the Biomass Research and Development (BR&D) Board on September 15 –16, 2020, this virtual event commemorates the 20th anniversary of the Biomass Research and Development Act. The interactive and public forum is designed to solicit stakeholder input and share the Bioeconomy Initiative’s progress, including accomplishments and plans for the BR&D Board’s Interagency Working Groups. This will be the first initiative update since the release of The Bioeconomy Initiative: Implementation Framework in 2018.

This event is free and open to the public. Registration closes today, September 11, 2020. Check out the Bioeconomy Initiative Forum website for the agenda, speaker bios, and registration information.
