Please note the new name of the June 9-11, 2020 planned workshop. The U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy’s Bioenergy Technologies Office will host the Predictive Models and High Performance Computing as Tools to Accelerate the Scaling-Up of New Bio-Based Fuels Workshop. Although the name has changed, the agenda and goals remain the same. The virtual workshop is designed to determine if predictive models and high performance computing can be utilized to:
• Accelerate scaling-up of biotechnologies • Reduce uncertainty in biotechnologies • Optimize operations of equipment and processes.
In particular, a main goal is to determine if effective utilization of mathematical models and artificial intelligence with machine learning, in conjunction with highly instrumented bench-, pilot-, and demonstration-scaled facilities, can be used to validate and improve system and subsystem models.
Visit the workshop page for more information including the agenda and how to register.
Note: The registration page has not changed. If you have already registered the name change will not affect your registration status.
