The U.S. Department of Energy’s Co-Optimization of Fuels & Engines (Co-Optima) initiative explores how simultaneous innovations in fuels and engines can boost fuel economy and vehicle performance while reducing emissions. Co-Optima advances the underlying science needed to deliver better fuels and better engines sooner.

Co-Optima researchers publish their latest scientific findings and breakthroughs in journal articles, conference papers, technical reports, presentations, and fact sheets. More than 30 of these publications have recently been added to the Co-Optima Publications Library, including two new spotlighted journal articles. Read and download these documents to stay up to date on Co-Optima’s accomplishments.
