TEAMER Announces First Request for Technical Support

Text logo for TEAMER

In September 2019, WPTO announced its selection of the Pacific Ocean Energy Trust (POET) to be the Network Director for the U.S. Testing Expertise and Access to Marine Energy Research (TEAMER) Program. The Program is designed to provide marine energy technology developers and researchers with access to U.S. based test facilities and technical expertise. The TEAMER Program is now accepting applications for its first Request for Technical Support (RFTS).

The RFTS will be open to applicants looking for technology support with modelling and analysis, laboratory and bench tests, as well as tank, flume, tunnel, and basin tests. Open water testing will be available in future RFTS cycles. Applicants will be required to contact approved network facilities, which are listed on the TEAMER website, to discuss their testing needs prior to applying to the RFTS.

A pre-recorded webinar will be available on June 2, 2020, at 9:00 a.m. PST, covering how to apply. The application period will close July 31, 2020. Visit the TEAMER website for more information about the program and to sign up for the newsletter.
