Government, National Labs, Academia, and Industry Convene at the 2019 BETO Peer Review!
From March 4–8, the U.S. Department of Energy’s Bioenergy Technologies Office (BETO), within the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, hosted the 2019 Project Peer Review in Denver, Colorado. This was the largest Peer Review in BETO history—almost 600 people attended the event! Bioenergy researchers from around the country presented results from more than 400 early-stage R&D projects across BETO’s technology areas. Check out the project presentations on the Peer Review website!
Bioenergy thought leaders from industry, academia, nonprofit organizations, and federal agencies reviewed individual projects to inform decisions on modifying, expanding, or discontinuing existing projects. Their assessments are invaluable to the success and future of BETO.
Learn more about this year’s Peer Review in our special blog from BETO Director, Jonathan Male and Technology Manager, Nichole Fitzgerald.
