Just Published! New Report on Carbon Utilization
The National Academy of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine conducted a study, co-sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Bioenergy Technologies Office, Office of Fossil Energy, and Office of Science, and Shell, which resulted in a report titled Gaseous Carbon Waste Streams Utilization: Status and Research Needs.
The study focused on assessing the economics, benefits, risks, scale, and lifecycle requirements for carbon utilization technologies and developing a detailed research agenda to increase their commercial viability.
Researchers in industry and academia can use the study’s findings to better understand the scientific and technical challenges to furthering carbon utilization at a large scale.
