CALL FOR PROPOSALS
60 Years of the Civil Rights Act: Pursuing Justice / Celebrating Progress
As we plan for another exciting year of providing cutting-edge education, training, and professional development for Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Human Resources (HR), and Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) professionals and practitioners from private, state & local, and federal organizations, we are pleased to invite you to participate in the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s (EEOC) 27th EXamining Conflicts in Employment Law (EXCEL) Training Conference, Call for Proposals.
The EXCEL Conference will be held in person in the FY 2024 fourth quarter. The location will be announced soon.
If you are interested in presenting for EXCEL, the Call for Proposals Form must be completed on-line and submitted on or before April 5, 2024. Select here for direct access to the Call for Proposals Form. Proposals with one presenter are preferred.
We seek EEO/HR professionals, industry consultants, academics, attorneys, professional speakers and trainers, and industry suppliers who can provide education, training, and professional development to expand the knowledge base of the attendees, and provide solutions to new challenges, best practices, or trends. Attendees should leave with the practical knowledge, ideas, and tools to help them succeed in their jobs and bring value to their organizations.
We seek topics within the arena of eliminating barriers in recruitment and hiring; pay equity; racial and systemic discrimination; algorithms and AI; retaliation; sexual orientation and gender identity; emerging and developing issues regarding workers affected by pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions, including under the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA); employment discrimination associated with the long-term effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, including Long COVID; future of telework and remote work; discrimination influenced by or arising as backlash in response to local, national, or global events; and technology-related employment discrimination. We also welcome topics related to investigations, federal sector processes, and conflict resolution.
All proposals are due on or before April 5, 2024.
