Workplace Protections for New and Expecting Mothers

You are invited to join The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in partnership with the U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division for the first session of the series.

Tuesday, October 24th

11:00 am CT- 12:30 pm CT

Via Microsoft TEAMS

During this free webinar, you will hear the latest updates on the Pregnancy Workers Fairness Act (PWFA) as well as other laws that offer workers protection from pregnancy workplace discrimination. Learn about laws regarding being allowed time off for the birth or adoption of a child and ensuring that nursing workers can take breaks to pump breastmilk while at work.

This webinar will offer tips to employees regarding how to talk to employers and assert their rights. It will equip advocates and stakeholders with information to assist new and expecting mothers seeking to assert their workplace rights.

Employers are also invited to gain a clearer understanding of these laws and how to handle situations that they may be faced with regarding these laws.
